QCan I run your Acuity System on my own hardware?
A YES. Go ahead and use the computers that are already in your office. Need to purchase new hardware? Feel free to shop around. We are both Mac and Windows-compatible, and can run on a wide range of hardware. You deserve the flexibility to choose the hardware that works best for you.

QDoes your Acuity System include support?
A YES. We provide 5 years of FREE e-mail and phone support. And when you call, you won't get a robot or overseas call center - you'll get a person within our company who knows the software inside and out. That allows us to answer your questions immediately, without waiting days to hear back on your support request.

QDoes your Acuity System satisfy the ISO 8596:1994 specification?
AYES. If you use any computer on our recommended hardware listing, the Acuity System will be fully compliant with the ISO 8596:1994 specification. This includes brightness levels, relative contrast values, viewing distances, optotype design, and many other factors. You can be confident that your results will be accurate and dependable.

QDoes your Acuity System satisfy the E-ETDRS specification?
AYES. The Acuity System conforms to all the specifications laid out for S-ETDRS, as well as the added requirements of the E-ETDRS protocol. Specifically, our ETDRS protocol tests 5 letters per line, supports the required size range from 20/800 to 20/12, and supports LogMAR scoring.

QCan I use your Acuity System in clinical trials?
AYES. The E-ETDRS protocol has been certified by the National Eye Institute to be indistinguishable from the standard ETDRS protocol in terms of test-retest reliability. If you use identically configured software in a clinical setting, you will get reliable, consistent results across the board.
